TV Series Review: The Bold Type

I’ve been staying up late a lot in the past 2 weeks or so; no, not drafting some plan or documenting ideas, but really just watching my favourite series since Bridgerton: The Bold Type.

It’s a 2019 tale of 3 distinct young ladies around their mid-twenties who met each other at a mutual workplace in New York, got pulled together by fate and over time developed such a close bond; barely found even between blood sisters.

It took me a couple of weeks to finish up the series (thanks to working-from-home) and as soon as I watched the latest episode — which by the way was at about 11:55pm, 18 March 2021 (10 minutes before I began writing this piece), I thought to share my top 7 transformational take-homes from this exciting yet thought-provoking TV Series.

  1. The power of having a trusted support system.
  2. Being a female boss does not have to be synonymous with mayhem.
  3. Love wins only when we persevere.
  4. It is okay to choose you.
  5. The power in understanding workplace diversity.
  6. If you never try, you may never know.
  7. Growth always comes with sacrifice and rewards.

Overall, this is such a must-watch for young females taking steps to thrive in their fields of endeavour. It possesses such a powerful message around hard work, tenacity, and the importance of not running your race alone.
